Rapport från Rat Race inspelningen

"Ashe" berättade för darkhorizons.com om sin dag på inspelningen av "Rat Race". Innehåller små SPOILERS...




"I went to the set of "Rat Race" today. Seth Green, Amy Smart, Jon Lovitz, Cuba Gooding Jr. & Kathy Najimy were the only on set actors today...But this being the finale, a casting director informed us that (surely enough) every actor listed in the cast list/call-sheet will be shooting at the "Silver City Train Depot" for the final scenes of the movie. That includes Dean Cain, John Cleese, Rowan Atkinson and numerous others. Some other facts I managed to gather from our unit's production assisstants was that throughout the scenes that take place in our town.




Rowan Atkinson is hit by some vehicle included in the race (For the sake of comedy...of course). Seth Green's vehicle of choice, (through the entire movie...I'm not sure) is a green monster truck in a vain effort to outrun Cuba Gooding Jr. who's riding (AND GET THIS!!!...Shirtless galloping on a horse!), Whoopi Goldberg And Kathy Najimy are back together (They were both in the Sister Act films.) And...in the most interesting bit of info. Two bits regarding weird and ino-doubt comedic sequences that'll appear in the movie's finale: # 1. There is a old hag-dressed woman who sells squirrels on a roadside when the characters are in our town, # 2. It appears that a scene will include a live cow to appear in a hot-air balloon which somehow lands the cow in a red chevy convertible which (there was a human-operated/remote controled cow this time...i.e. jabba the hutt) concludes the scene with the cow inside the car itself and comedic mayhem follows. (...Just think about the deer demolition scene in Tommy Boy.)




The production will stay here until Saturday, Oct. 7 and then move to California where they'll finish principal photography and then move on to all the other studio stuff. I overheard their shooting schedule had been set at 72 days. It looks like they'll finish right on time. Previously reported locations before the shoot in our town of Ely was Las Vegas (shot directly before Ely) & Canada. Our PA didn't talk about a direct location but that's apparantly where the production started."
