Clive Cusslers böcker blir film

Ryktet om att Clive Cusslers "Sahara" bok skulle bli film har cirkulerat ett tag. Nu verkar det som Dirk Pitt och hans vänner kommer dyka upp ett antal gånger på bioduken. Wayne Valero säger sig ha talat med författaren nyligen:




"Last month I met with Clive at his home in Telluride. I asked how the film deal was coming on Sahara, and he replied it "was a done deal." Evidently, it's a three pic deal with Sahara first, Inca Gold second and Night Probe! third. They want the same actors to play the recurring roles in all three. It looks like George Clooney will be Pitt, Salma Hayak will be Eva Rojos and William Macy as Sandecker. The script for Sahara went through (probably still is) several drafts and the guy who helped with the script for The Sting is working on the Sahara one. He won the Oscar for The Sting. For this Cussler received script and casting approval".
